China
The subsidiary company in China is based in Qingdao, a port city in the Shandong Province, one of the key regions of berry and vegetable cultivation. Qingdao itself is a former German colonial trading post – to this day, beer is brewed there according to German standard.
Since 2006, our employees in the Qingdao office have been helping us tap the Chinese market. Qingdao has one of the largest ports of transshipment from where goods of Chinese origin are shipped.
China is covered by enormous areas of cultivated land and thus has a large-scale and species-rich range of goods. The key growing areas follow the eastern and southern coastline. We primarily collaborate with suppliers from the following provinces:
- Shandong
- Hebei
- Liaoning
- Jiangsu
- Zhejiang
- Fujian
- Guangxi
The delivery program includes classic products for the food industry as well as special fruits from the region:
- Juices and juice concentrates (e.g. pear, lychee, yumberry/yangmei, goji etc.)
- Purees (e.g. apricot, peach, tomato)
- Deep-frozen fruits and vegetables (e.g. strawberries, peppers, asparagus)
- Canned goods (e.g. asparagus, peaches, mandarin oranges, oranges)
In addition, Binder imports Qingdao wine for the domestic consumer market.
